Biography

Agustín studied drums in his hometown, Quito, Ecuador, from the age of 10. In his teenage years, he was part of a punk band  that managed to break into the local scene. Later on, he developed a passion for technology and its application in music, which led him to study music production at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito, associated with Berklee Global Partner. Currently, he is in Barcelona, where he is pursuing a master's degree in composition with technologies at ESMUC.

"Elconx" is the name Agustín gives to his electronic music project. Born from the fascination for synthesizers, soundscapes and love for punk during his teenage years. On his new work he is influenced by the theory of spectromorphology, his music is based on an electronic ambient sound with nuances of other genres and styles. Agustín has released two albums and two EPs as part of "Elconx," consolidating his presence in the music scene.
